SATURDAY JUNE 15TH & SUNDAY JUNE 16TH
This year's event turned out to be one of our best yet, in spite of a rainy start to the first day! Our 8 gardens (thankyou to those home-wners who offered them to the public) showed some wonderful and varied gardens and feedback from everyone was positive. You can see images of some of the gardens and the event on our gallery pages.
Early estimates put our income from the two days at over £1200 but one of our owners also VERY generously donated an extra £500 on top so thanks to them ! There are a few deductions to be made for such things as advertising and as a result of this event and the forthcoming Autumn Show, we hope to be able to make some good charitable donations to our nominated charities.
Thanks to the homeowners, to the volunteers helping with refreshments, organisation and cooking and of course to the committee once again.

Garden Of My Heart
In the field
where gentle hooves have
wandered
Stalking wild scents on the breeze…
In the field
that offer’s sanctuary
to humans deer-folk
birds and bees
I sit
My ears ahead of me
pricked twitching listening
welcoming the songs of life
A blanket wrapping nature’s beat
and blessing every word I speak
From rise of sun till after dark
such life entrains a weary heart
In the field of precious dreams
I’m blessed by all that speaks through me
Sitting in the dust of days
At home amongst ancestor trees
I send my prayers of gratitude
of longitude and latitude
deep down into great Gaia's’ soul
Who breathes new life into my bones
ancient truths I’ve always known
While swallows duck and dive and dart
their beat and pulse empowers my heart
Together all the trees stand tall
We merge into the waterfall
the lavender
the sleepy bee
the earth the air
the rosemary
The sun the moon and distant stars
Do giggle at the fools we are
Do giggle at the fools we are
As certain as the twilight crow
the breeze will usher me to go I
bless this garden of my heart
Holding space within my core
A field of plenty
home sweet home
How could I ever want for more
Where I wander where I roam
Tis my own heart
where I’m at home
The place that sets my spirit free
The home that brings me back to thee
Full and blessed through ceremony
good medicine brings harmony
With ease and grace
Now I can breathe
My missing peace returned to me
In the field
where gentle hooves have
wandered
Stalking wild scents
on the breeze…
I sit
